Amongst all the toys break onForce Fridayback in September were some of thefirst flying Star Wars droneseasy enough for kids to navigate . The same ca n’t be said about this impressive15 - foot long Star Destroyer , though . Even its Creator had a gruelling time keeping it airborne .
Made mostly of insulating froth panels held together with Gorilla Glue and copious sum of packing tape , the 15 - human foot long Star Destroyer was powered by three motor - drive propeller while a brace of servos adjusting flaps on the ship ’s trailing edge . The giant RC wiliness was also quickly detailed with a can of Rustoleum spray paint giving it that recognizable grey Star Destroyer ending .
Amazingly the giant replica actually flew for a short while after being launched from the back of a flatbed hand truck — just not well . It stayed aloft for quite some sentence before rolling over in mid - air and eventually returning to ground with a less - than - refined landing . What ’s important , though , is that humanness is officially one tiny step nearer to building a tangible Star Destroyer and eventually oppressing the galax we call home . [ YouTubeviaMake ]
