The one - two hit Marvel TV fan take when bothAgent Carter was canceledand Agents of SHIELD spinoff Most Wantedwas dropped by ABCwas a fierce one . While we ’ve had answers as to why Agent Carter came to a closing curtain , why Most Wanted was lead behind was never talk over — but it turn out the reason was a unsubdivided one : it just was n’t that respectable .
That ’s the result ABC ’s Channing Dungey basically give to the jam in the aftermath of the web ’s Television Critics Association summer tour panel ( where she also discussed negotiation border a likely live - action Star Wars series ):
Most Wanted , ultimately at the end of the Clarence Day , did not feel as warm as some of the other pilots that we shoot . We talked about it with Marvel and we all came to an agreement that we want to cipher out what the next show is that we do together , is something that we all feel is as creatively strong as it can be .

It ’s not all that surprising , moot Marvel had already attempt to get Most cherished goingseveraltimesbefore — if the latest attempt was just as weak , it ’s easy to see why ABC would pass on the idea for what is likely the final sentence .
But despite that , Dungey say the pass does n’t needfully stop Marvel from trying to bring the adventures of Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter elsewhere , nor does it move future plan the connection has to prepare more Marvel show ( like therumored Damage Control comedy serial publication ):
[ Most want ] was a joint partnership between Marvel and ABC Studios . We sure as shooting are capable if they were to find another home for it to have that happen .

We ’re looking at a number of different things . Some of them are projects that we ’ve worked on before and others are totally new ideas and IP .
So yes , there ’ll be more from Marvel and ABC in the future — it just wo n’t be Most want . At this decimal point , that ’s probably for the good .
