Rather than incorporating maw that you have to ram plugs into ( and often , rearrange if there are more than one and they vary in shape ) , a swipe - in slot design is used . Now , the plugs can comfortably rest next to one another , thus allowing more plugs to tally than on a regular strip .
The time slot for 3 - pin and 2 - pin plugs are different ( as show in the pic above ) , but not hard to handle .
Update : seemingly this concept is super one-time — so sure-enough pretty much nobody uses it anymore , so it seems about time for a comeback . Just do n’t put it in the Kid ’ play area . [ Yanko Design ]
