phase Fright ( April 3 )

Ok it ’s not technically science fable or fantasy — but the premiss of Stage Fright is too expert ( and too much like Phantom of the Opera ) to brush off . This is a melodic repugnance photographic film . At a ridiculous theater bivouac , the aspiring sensation are in for a bloody disaster as campers and counselor alike flatus up dead . But the show must go on . Also somehow they got both Minnie Driver and Meatloaf ( Eddie ! ) to sing and dance in this , which is just wonderful . Really wondrous .
optic ( April 11 )
The mirror is haunted ! Our darling Karen Gillan stars as a fair sex hell out to on getting revenge on a mirror that wipe out her parent . The supernatural - powered mirror has a myriad of power including the power to contrive images into its victims brains . So it can make you think a bulb is an apple , and you wo n’t realize the divergence until you ’ve taken a bite .

13 Sins ( April 18 )

Seemingly out of nowhere Elliot is ask over to play a secret television camera gameshow called 13 Sins ! All he has to do is complete 13 project and he will incur 6 million . But as each labor is accomplished the next one becomes more and more morally detestable task . How far will Elliot go ? 13 Sins has two of our all time best-loved cultus actors — Pruitt Taylor Vince and Ron Perlman . And stars Mark Webber ( Scott Pilgrim vs. the World ) who is absolutely sensational in everything he ’s in ( no matter how small the part ) so we ’re activated to see this guy get unhinged . The director is from another io9 favorite The Last exorciser . Here ’s the trailer .
The Quiet Ones ( April 25 )

Hammer Horror films cast Jared Harris and Sam Claflin in a vintage wraith movieset in the ’ LXX . Harris is on a extrasensory military mission to use science to solve spectral problems . rather he only manage to create one goliath , micturate - off spirit . Uh oh .
The Drownsman ( Cannes Film Festival Debut , May )
After almost drowning in a lake , main character Madison struggles with hydrophobia . Frustrated by her ongoing fears , Madison ’s friends stage an intervention that goes horribly untimely . Excellent . What neat Quaker you have Madison !

The Sacrament ( May 1 )
Found Footage forgather Vice Production . A documentary gang from New York ’s Vice office heads to maneuver to the Amazon to score an interview with the head of a major cult . But instead they get hold blood , just so much blood . The trailer is downright frightful . Written and directed by Ti West ofInnkeeperswe require nothing but insane dumb burn on this one .
Alien Abduction ( May 1 )

This found footage - esque film follows a vacationing home through the woods and right into an foreign encounter . The story is allegedly based on the “ actual life ” Brown Mountain Lights phenomenon in North Carolina . From the looks of the trailerwe’re dealing with classical foreign abduction repugnance , lots of creepy foresightful arms , bright luminance and terrible , terrible experiments .
Mr. Jones ( May 2 )
hand down , the most bananas premise we ’ve heard about in horror this year — but it has us absolutely intrigued . A mates on a timberland retreat trip-up upon the work of celebrated hermit and creative person Mr. Jones . He ’s known for his epically creepy-crawly scarecrow creations . And they are utterly dismay . But the plot is n’t that linear — it ’s really wrapped up with the twosome ’s fights , and things become unclear on what is realness and what is scarecrow hell . Just go watch the trailer right now it ’s amazing .

The Signal ( June 13 )
A favourite at this year ’s Sundance , The Signal channels a whole mickle of classic scientific discipline fiction paranoia . A threesome of friends look for for an anonymous hacker who has been flirt with them online , but then things go wildly astray when the kids sting off way more than they can masticate . Every eccentric of horror is in this movie and it ’s inexorable with keeping the hearing imbalanced and always questioning everything . Plus Laurence Fishburne and the main fictitious character Brenton Thwaites ( who also star in The Giver ) are absolutely wonderful together . We’ve already premiered the dawdler , but we can not wait to see more .
Deliver Us From Evil ( July 2 )

Based on the “ true story ” from a tangible New York cop who really fight the deuce ( or something ) Eric Bana plays the office of say tumultuous cop . Who finds out he ca n’t arrest iniquity . Deliver Us From Evil was manoeuver by Scott Derrickson , who gave us Sinister which we half loved . So that is promising . Here ’s a tone .
The Purge 2 ( July 18 )
The Purge is back ! And this time we ’ve got an astonishing cast , includingFrank Grillo and Friday Night Lights ’ Zach Gilford . The subsequence to the very successful movie about the one night a yr when all crime is legal ( all of it ) takes place outside of the safe house , on the tight streets ! receive back to The Purge and all its ham - fisted political themes !

Jessabelle ( August 29 )
From the manufacturer of Paranormal Activity and Insidious , is Jessabelle . A motion picture about a new char ( Sarah Snook ) who returns to her childhood house in Louisiana to revocer from a brutal cable car accident that killed her fiancé ( and took away her power to practice her legs ) . But she will recover no solace inside this crumbling old mansion with her father , because a life has been waiting for her return . We ’re kind of excited about this flick because the screenwriter is Deputy Travis Junior from Reno 911 ( Robert Ben Garant ) and he ’s brilliant . digit crossed he can find some humor in this seemingly barren horror story .
The Green Inferno ( September 5 )

Director Eli Roth ’s latest ! From what we ’ve seen just about everyone in this moving-picture show is cover in blood at some sentence or another . The plot follows a group of student activists who travel to the Amazon to make unnecessary a buy the farm tribe . alas for them , their carpenter’s plane crashes and they become hostages of the very people they vanish down to help .
Cooties ( October 10 )
Next to Mr. Jones , this is the 2nd movie we are in earnest crossing all of our finger for . Two of our very favorite ( Eljah Wood and Alison Pill ) headliner in Cooties , a movie that sound freak out brilliant . An primary school day is move with a horrifying computer virus that turns all the little bookman into quasi - automaton . Now the teachers have to fight down their way out … through the children . Yes , it vocalise amazing .

Tusk ( No Date )
Kevin Smith ’s walrus repulsion picture show . It go sound harebrained . asterisk Justin Long and Haley Joel Osment , Tusk is about what happens when a man answers a roommate advert that advertize free rent , yield they dress up in a sea horse costume from prison term to time . It has been call very Human Centipede like with the dead body horror , so we ’ll just get your thinker go from there . On the plus side it does have the wonderful Rob Kurtzman ( Hisss , Bubba Ho - Tep , From Dusk Till Dawn ) doing the special effects make-up , so at least it will look awing . Not certain when Smith will be done with this one , hopefully this year , because we ’re dying to see Jusin Long all mutilate into look like a walrus .
Clown ( No Date )

revolutionize by the excellent fake trailercreated by Jon Watts , Eli Roth ( who was the fake conductor of the fake preview ) decided to go ahead and back the project . And now this alarm man - to - clown - monster transformation movie is being made . It even got a script from Robot & Frank author Christopher D. Ford , and a brand unexampled trailerthat looks terrifying . There is nothing scarier than a buffoon .
Wolves ( No Date )
David Hayter ( writer for X - Men , The Scorpio King , Watchmen ) makes his full characteristic directorial debut on Wolves . Starring Jason Momoa as the Wolf variant of Mister Mistoffelees ( we venture ) . The whole thing look cockeyed in just the best way maybe . The story is about a chemical group of anthropomorphous werewolveswho appear absolutely howling .
