This is the second time this week that Ferrera has dressed to impress at an award show — she also sharedphotosof herSAG Awards attire, which featured her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, admiring her in the background.
Her caption joked that the photo carousel was “a love story in 5 pictures ❤️,” and listed what each showed.
Ferrera joked that Williams, 42, was giving her “the look” and that she was upset after he wouldn’t “kiss [me] in a photo” before she decided to “forgive him and get silly,” as she stuck out her tongue for a selfie during the ceremony.
Williams proves to be Ferrera’s biggest fan in a post on her stylistKarla Welch’s Instagram. In one image, Williams can be seen snapping a photo of his wife in as she poses before the PGAs.
One of the actor’s biggest supporting roles shined through in hissurprise appearance inBarbie, playing Fererra’s on-screen husband.
“We didn’t tell anybody, any of our friends or family,” Ferrera told PEOPLE in January.
“Right away she [director and co-screenwriterGreta Gerwig] was like, ‘Oh my God, does he want to play your husband?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know, you’ll have to ask him,’ ” Ferrera recalled. “…When it came time, she was like, ‘Remember when I asked you if your husband would play your husband?’ And he said yes.”
