Do multiple covert help you to mentally separate tasks ? Are they bad ergonomically than a single ultra - large screen ? What do you prefer ?
Once upon a time , I was fond to multiple screens . It ’s one of the thing that have me into Macs : Back then , they were the only figurer that could handle multiple screens as a unmarried desktop , seamlessly . I would have Photoshop on full screen on the main one , habituate the right one for pallet , and the left one for other programs , like mail .
With time , however , I found it was n’t that convenient . The screen with the palette , even while calibrate , will switch in color equate to the central screen ( or viceversa ) . And I found myself looking to the side too much , so at the end everything ended up in the chief display .

After a while , I got a really great monitor lizard and got rid of the residual . Years later , when I got the iMac 24 and Apple introduced Exposé , I just could n’t give a shucks about multiple screens anymore . Now , all I want is an iMac with a 30 - inch , 200dpi filmdom , and Exposé .
There ’s only one mode I would get another covert : I want one ofthose tiny 7 - inch portrait USB displaysfor my chat client .
