IMAX has officially announced that on December 3 , the sci - fi epic will pass to its theaters for a modified sentence . ( believably for two weeks , untilSpider - Man : No Way Homearrives on December 17.)Tickets are on sales agreement nowwith more showtimes and screenscoming on November 29 . December 3 is also the dayDune make it on requirement , but unless your screen is bigger than your intact home , IMAX will be a much , much better presentation .
Villeneuve filmed Dune for IMAX so , in the formatting , you see between 26 and 40 % more image , depending on the location . It rightfully feel like the planet of Arrakis all engulfs you and , much like Paul Atreides himself , you could find out yourself enamored by this whole raw world . So to recapitulation : from now until December 3 , Dune is only usable to see in unconstipated theaters since it ’s no longer on HBO Max . On December 3 , you could rend or buy Dune on digital on - demand , or you could go watch it in prize IMAX field of operations .
