Kieran Culkinisn’t entirely convinced aSuccessionspinoff would have much success.
The 41-year-old actor caught up withVariety’s Marc Malkin during the outlet’sGolden Globes 2024official digitalpre-showwithEntertainment Tonighton Sunday evening, when he admitted that a follow-up series to the hit HBO drama sounded “horrible.”
“I feel like I should have a joke for this but I feel like a spinoff is a horrible idea,” Culkin said, adding that “just the word spinoff” doesn’t appeal to him.
“Sometimes they work, yeah,” he said. “I was going to say, rememberFraiser? We all lovedFraiserbut not every show could beFraiser.”

“Cousin Gregwould make a good spinoff show, I gotta be honest,” Culkin admitted. “That would be kind of fun.”
After Malkin suggested that Culkin could “pop in every once in a while,” Culkin jokingly asked if “entrance applause” would be possible in the proposed follow-up series.
“Would that work in a show like this? That’s why I would do it,” he said.

Speaking on what he’s managed to take home from set since the HBO show wrapped in May 2023 after four seasons, Culkin shared that he’s kept “officially nothing.”
“But a lot of my wardrobe fell off the truck and I found it and it’s just been in a pile in my closet,” Culkin seemingly joked, adding that outside of the sleek black suit he wore to the Globes, “everything else I wear is Roman’s.”
