A hoo-ha outside one Belgium man ’s living way window , which was think to be from some problematic pigeons , turned out to be a brood of Europe ’s largest bird of night , the Eurasiatic eagle - owl . The three new arrivals set up store in an apartment planter outside Jos Baart ’s third - story apartment . Since their arrival , the curious birds have taken a shine to Baart ’s goggle box , join him on his box - set endurance contest by peering through the windowpane .

telecasting footage of the TV - hungry chicks shared on the Dutch nature showVroege Vogelsshows the enormous skirt standing to tending , trying to catch a glimpse of the television over Baart ’s shoulder . While the kids pelt over the channels , their mother can be seen a niggling further back minding her chick from a nearby shrub and giving Baart a less than approving stare . She does n’t seem to be as   keen on technology as her issue .

“ She has a undecomposed view of the nest from there , ” Baart explain in the video , which has been posted to Twitter . “ She can stay there for six to eight hour at a stretch . ”

He go on to explicate that he first thought the scrabbling at the windowpane was due to pigeon but after take in passel of the female parent taking flight from his window he realized he had some raw tenants on his hands . Since the arrival of the curious brood , Baart has set up a professorship and has a kneel pillow at the ready so he can view the razzing and even interact with them , running his digit along the windowpane pane as they track his hand as if it were a scuttling mouse .

“ you could see how relaxed they are , ” Baart says in the footage , gesturing to the bird who have presumably grown accustomed to his presence since hatching outside the windowpane . “ They ’re not scared at all . For me , it ’s like watching a flick 24 - 7 . ”

Eurasiatic eagle - bird of night are one of the largest in Europe and can live for up to 20 class in the wild , growing to boast a wingspread of more than 1.5 metre ( 5 groundwork ) . While conditions might get a picayune cramped for the   chicks in a windowsill planter as they rise , it ’s not uncommon for such coinage to nestle on the border of diaphanous drop , though typically spots such as drop are more common . The chicks are potential to hang around for another two months before moving on , but Baart remain hopeful that one of the birds will be back to nest in the future tense .
