Melanie Goodine was hiking on the Bright Angel Trail above Three-Mile Resthouse on June 2 when she became distressed, the National Park Servicesaid. Bruce McArthur, the 67-year-old Toronto landscaper and serial killer whohid his victims’ bodies in planters, admitted to murdering eight men Tuesday, PEOPLE confirms.
