“I’m such a huge fan of Sandra, to actually play sisters — it was so cool," Awkwafina says of working with Oh.
Awkwafina plays Anne, a game-show obsessed woman, while Oh plays Jenny, her older sister whom an official synopsis for the film describes as a “train wreck.”
“This is one of the best experiences of my career," Oh recalls of makingQuiz Lady. “I remember talking to Awkwafina and saying, ‘What do you think about me playing Jenny?’ And she said, ‘You can play whatever the f— you want.’ "

“The way that they are attuned to each other is quite spectacular,” she says.

“She took the improv a little far, I think,” Awkwafina jokes of Oh’s approach to the movie’s comedy. “At one point, Sandra put her foot in my mouth.”
