Sara Hainesis opening up about a spicy quid-pro-quo she has with her husbandMax Shifrin.

The co-moderator, 46, gave fans insight into some of her bedroom habits while discussing the biggest mistakes made after sex on Thursday’s episode ofThe View.

“So what happens is, sometimes when I recover, I think about all the things we still have to do,” she explained, before joking about needing to recuperate from the “pure exhaustion of that primal act.”

“I stop and I say, ‘Babe, did the plumber call today?’” she laughed. “I need to wait a little longer. Which is why I look at my phone. Give him a full five minutes before I ask him a question.”

When her co-hostSunny Hostinasked why she doesn’t wait until the next day, Haines replied with a firm, “Hell no, I may not see him the next day.”

“We have three kids, we run in different directions. When I get him, I get him. He got what he wanted, I’m gonna get what I want. Did the plumber call?” she continued.

AsWhoopi Goldbergasked how she would respond if he replied, “No, I’m right here,” Haines answered with a sly smile. “Then we go for round 2, Whoopi!” she joked.

This isn’t the first time the television personality has opened up aboutbargaining in her martial bed.

In September 2021, Haines — who shares sonsCaleb Joseph,Alec Richard, 5, and daughterSandra Gracewith Shifrin — joked about using sex as a ploy to get him to put their kids to bed at night when she’s exhausted.

“I turned to Max and I just said, ‘I’m willing to have transactional deals with you if you can just put the kids to bed please,'” she said with a laugh. “That’s about how romantic the suggestion felt too: ‘I will pay you in other things, other currency, if you go ahead and put those kids to bed.'”

Co-hostJoy Beharsaid, “So you see it as a bartering system?”

“If that is what he needs, and this is what I need, I think it sounds like a perfect solution,” responded Haines.
