A man previously charged with kidnapping a 9-year-old girl in upstate New York is now accused of sexually assaulting the child, prosecutors said in a press release.

Craig N. Ross Jr., was originally charged with kidnapping on Oct. 2, two days after the girl had gone missing while on a family camping trip in Saratoga County, N.Y.  The girl was riding her bike near Moreau Lake State Park in Gansevoort, N.Y., when Ross allegedly kidnapped her, authorities previously said.

The match led police to the home of Ross’ mother, where the suspect was found in a camper parked in the rear, authorities said.
