“The wedding was just perfect in every way. It felt so romantic,” Kelderman tells PEOPLE.

He and Ford held their nuptials atEver After Farms' Flower Barnin Seffner, allowing them to take advantage of the stunning natural scenery of the flower farm. “When looking for a venue, it was important it fit our style,” Ford says. “We knew we wanted a barn-style wedding, so to find one that sat on a field of wildflowers was icing on the cake.”

Befitting the rustic setting, the pair — who got engaged just before Valentine’s Day last year — opted for an “unplugged ceremony,” with no phones or cameras. “We really wanted our family and friends to be present for the ceremony and allow the best photographer and videographer in the world capture the moment,” Ford notes.

They also chose to forgo a first look so that the moment when Ford made her way down the aisle to Kelderman would be that much more special. “Anticipating the moment when the barn doors would open for us to see each other at the ceremony made it so magical,” Ford says.

And that’s not all they’re excited about. “We practiced celibacy since being engaged until marriage so it’s safe to say, consummating our marriage is what we looked forward to most,” she adds.

After their wedding, they jetted off to Thailand, where they planned to do a little island hopping and visit Khao Sok National Park. “After a year of wedding planning, we’re going to enjoy some rest and relaxation,” says Ford.
