It seems things are heating up — and fast — betweenKaitlyn BristoweandJason Tartick.
A little over a week after Tarticksent Bachelor Nation into a frenzyfor asking Bristowe out on a date, she surprised Tartick while he was in Seattle with his pals.
“There’s my boy Nate, he’s on the phone with his sweet girlfriend. And there’s Derek. And there’s me, drinking a little —,” he said in the video, as he held up his glass. But before he could finish his sentence, Bristowe chimed in.
“With his sweet girlfriend!” she cheerfully said, with a surprised expression on her face.

“Where’d you come from?” Tartick jokingly responded back.
To make it even cuter, Tartick tagged his two pals and captioned the video, “Who’s that girl… …@kaitlynbristowe #bestsurprise #seattle.”

The sweet moment comes after Bristowe and Tartickengaged in a rather flirty exchangeduring an episode of her podcast,Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe.
It all started when Bristowe asked Tartick why they haven’t gone out yet. “Jason, are you finally going to ask me on a date?” Bristowe teased.
Taking the (rather obvious) hint, Tartick made his move on the season 11 Bachelorette.
“You’re making me blush over here, Kaitlyn,” he said. “I mean, if we’re both going to be in the same city at the same time, I see no reason why we shouldn’t go to dinner or grab drinks.”

After Bristowe accepted his invitation, Tartick said he couldn’t be happier. “My heart is racing over here, my beats per minute are off the chain,” he said. But she gave him a clear warning before taking that next step: “Don’t f— it up.”
At the time, a sourcetold PEOPLE, “Kaitlyn is excited to go out with Jason. She likes him so far, and he seems like a good guy for her, that he would treat her really well! Her relationship with Shawn has been over for a long time, longer than people know, and she’s ready to date again.”
Tartick appeared onBecca Kufrin‘s season ofThe Bachelorettelast spring, making it to the final three. Bristowe competed onThe Bachelorin 2015 and then becameThe Bacheloretteherself.
She got engaged toShawn Booth, and the two were together for over three years beforecalling it quits in November.

“It’s been a really hard few months now,” Bristowe said on her podcast. “I really did think we’d get through it.”
She said the couple hit a “crossroads” in the relationship during a trip to Bristowe’s native Canada.
“With all the hard moments in life come life lessons and that’s what I need to take from all of this,” she explained. “Sometimes you need to take a moment and take a step back to think about what you are fighting for and if it makes sense for your long-term happiness.”
Bristowe and Booth eventually made the difficult decision to go their separate ways.
“There were some important fundamental values that weren’t lining up,” she said, adding that there were also “some things we’d probably never see eye-to-eye on. We were left with no choice but to be honest with ourselves and each other.”
